{Book Review} The Die-Fi Experiment by M.R. Tapia

M.R. Tapia can write! The Die-Fi Experiment is a non-stop thrill ride! I’m still wincing just thinking about some of the scenes in this novella.

Marie and her husband are on their honeymoon in Tokyo, Japan. The newlyweds are suckered into a chance at winning the newest cell phone. All they have to do is make it through a maze of doors first. They awaken in the middle of a cruel live-stream gameshow. Marie competes against a man while their spouses are strapped down in chairs watching the whole thing play out. Everyone in the game is brutally punished in some way. As the game progresses, more and more people watch on the Internet. The winner of the competition has to fight their spouse to the death.

M.R. Tapia can weave a kick-ass story! The author gives just enough background to fill you in on the main characters. The scenes are vivid and the characters are believable. That ending got me! This couple’s first fight is one for the ages! I also like the Japanese culture in this novella. Everyone should read this novella!

This novella also contains an excerpt from M.R. Tapia’s forthcoming novel Suger Skulls.

The Die-Fi Experiment is well written, and it is also a blast to read! I highly recommend this novella to fans of horror and reality television!

5/5 stars!
