{Film Review} The Devil’s Candy by Sean Byrne

A struggling painter (Ethan Embry), his wife (Shiri Appleby), and his daughter (Kiara Glasco) move into their dream home in rural Texas. The father becomes possessed and he starts hearing demonic voices, then he starts painting things that soon become reality. The paintings are scary scenes of kids being tortured. The father has to protect his family from the man who is torturing all of the children. The man says that he needs to come home, which is the home the painter and his family just moved into. It becomes obvious that the man is the previous owners’ mentally disturbed son. The man hears demonic voices that tell him to kill children. This movie is a haunted house tale. The house is possessed by the devil.

I really enjoyed this movie! It was a smooth storyline and the characters were developed well. There have been several movies about haunted houses, but this movie brings something unique and different to the table, which makes it really good!

I highly recommend this movie to fans of horror!

4/5 stars!
