{Book Review} Keep Mars Weird by Neal Pollack

I received this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy from NetGalley. This book is set in the future on Earth and Mars. Everyone abides by the laws or they are sent to Mars, which is advertised as being a cool place to live. The main character, Jordan, gets into a fight over a lady, and he is sent to Mars to teach. His friend tags along with him, but Jordan makes friends with the leader’s children. When Jordan and his friend arrive on Mars they realize that the planet is not what they expected. Everyone is impoverished except for the leader’s family. On their first day they go to a club, and the place gets bombed. Jordan and his friend survive, but they end up on the opposite ends of an apparent war between the government and the resistance.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who reads science fiction or fantasy! It is non-stop action from the start. It is a quick read and didn’t want to put it down! I hope this is the start of a new series by Neal Pollack! The ending was abrupt, so I assume there will be another book or books in the near future.

4/5 stars!
